The Robert Feeney ACS Archive

The Robert Feeney ACS Archive is a collection of books, magazines and even the odd piece of camera equipment that has purchased or donated to the Society.

It was officially named The Robert Feeney ACS Archive at the Annual General Meeting of the ACS on 14 September 2003.

It was an honour befitting the late Bob Feeney ACS, who started the archive and was renowned for collecting old books and historical memorabilia about anything to do with cinematography.

Until recently these items have remained uncatalogued and gathering dust Rosco warehouse as well as members’ garages and sheds.

ACS Historian John Leake ACS and Butch Calderwood ACS, have been sifting through these boxes that are now located in a storage facility in Sydney, cataloguing these items, so that information so that these valuable pieces of our cinematography history can be made available to our members

Keep an eye out here and also in Australian Cinematographer, as we uncover some of those forgotten treasures.

If you would like to donate to the archive, John and Butch would love to hear from you.
